Monday, March 18th, Torrington High School's Civic Life "Food Group" took a field trip to Arethusa Farm. We interviewed Matt, the assistant farm manager at Arethusa. Matt was able to provide us with information mainly concerning the process of keeping the cows healthy in order to produce premium milk for the dairy. Last night, Torrington High School hosted an Open House for the students of Torrington Middle School. Each club/class talked a little bit about what they do and why it's important for students to get involved once they get to the high school. The Civic Life Project had its own table at the club fair for anyone who had any questions or interest in taking the class in the following year.
